This New York Times article details comments by Snapchat founders who found out that there is real value in sharing moments that don't live forever, which is achieved by Snapchat; that no other form of social media captures. The author of this article compares Facebook and Snapchat as forms of social media. According to the article, people become self aware when it comes to Facebook profiles, however, Snapchat is relatively less permanent and is more about the 'real self than the projected self'.
